USS LITCHFIELD COUNTY (LST – 901) has proven thru 3 wars that its crews have always been prepared to meet the challenges presented them.  They, and their ship, have earned the awards shown here through superior dedication to duty.

* When refitted for duty in Vietnam, the 12 - single 20MM gun mounts were replaced with 4 - Single 50 cal. machine gun temporary mounts
