The March hidden question was located at the top of the War Stories main page. The question asked at what time, on what date, and at what ramp did the ship beach for the 1st time in Vietnam. The correct answer is 1227 hours, 19 JUL 66 at the # 3 ramp at Chu Lai and is found on the 19 JUL 66 Deck Log which is linked to on the VA Claims main page. It can also be found on the 1st page of the Comprehensive Deck Log section.

The April hidden question was located at the bottom of the Home page. The question asked what WWII LST-901 crew member attended the 2009 ship's reunion and what was his rate. The correct answer is Ben Strickler, PHm3. The answer could be found on the 2009 Reunion Pictures main page as a photo of Ben is the first photo to appear.

HIDDEN QUESTION CONTEST
This is a new feature being added to the web site. Your web master will conduct a monthly contest for the sole purpose of, hopefully, getting former shipmates to navigate thru the site and enjoy its contents. The rules, and rewards, are quite simple.
Rules:
1. The answer/answers to each monthly question will be readily, and relatively easily, available from the information posted on the web site.
2. The monthly question, however, will be hidden and a bit more difficult to find.
3. When you find the question and have the correct answer, use the Contact Us link in the menu at the top of the page to submit your answer.
4. The person submitting the correct answer first (based on the time and date received in the web master's email in box) will be the winner of that month's contest. All decisions of the web master are final.
5. Contest winners, as well as the correct answer, will be posted on this page on approximately the first of each month. When that information is posted, a new contest will begin.
6. The monthly prize will essentially be the same. The web master will purchase a bar drink for each monthly winner at the 2011 reunion. The monthly winner must be present at the reunion to receive their prize. If you are unable to attend the reunion, you are still encouraged to enter the monthly contests. Why? Because you can still gain the respect and admiration of your peers when your name appears as the monthly winner; and, any person winning that is not present to collect their prize will save the web master untold amounts of cash.
